She was a devoted Roman Catholic and making her seem like an unfaithful wife is uncalled for.

It's really disrespectful to portray Empress Elisabeth in such a way. It's book where the author starts writing a story based off of almost nothing or too general facts such as when she was born and how she died, starts writing a whole story completely irrelevant to the actual person and gives the characters the names of historical people. (I'd recommend 'Elizabeth, Empress of Austria, A memoir' if you would like a book about facts.)

I have read enough sources on Empress Elisabeth to tell you so. I hope this clears up your misconceptions about the book as well as the wiki article :)Īzpen, I can tell you that the Wiki's article on Empress Elisabeth is much more factual than this historical fiction. Enter artistic license, that which authors master in the HF world.

I'm not going to copy paste the definition of fiction here but I assume you know what that means.Īs a final note on your slandering of a globally recognized author's published work, I'd like to mention it would be absolutely grand if we all had the magical ability to reach into a deceased persons mind and find out what they were thinking and feeling in their lifetime, as this random person appears to think they have in that wiki article (free of reference to where he/she attained this knowledge I might add,) but we can't. Also, if you want facts instead of fiction - or artistic liberty - in the form of published work (wiki isn't published work) you're in the wrong genre here you want what we call "biography" not historical FICTION. Wikipedia's slogan is "the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit" so I'm not so sure that (very personal) article about Elisabeth you read on Wiki was totally true.
